New Keyboard

When I told my colleague about the machine I bought a Mac Pro. (I wrote about in the previous post). I shared my facination with it’s keyboard and screen design. When told him that the keys were old, worn and irresponsive.

My colleague told me that he had spare a replacement keyboard.

I was super happy. I thought those keyboards were a rare artifact. He bought his keyboard 2015 and it came with the same keys as the Mac 1.10 plus a numpad and flat keys. Apparently the eject button stayed around on for while. The page up and page down keys (and that keys right next to page up) are also little different from the modern keyboard layout. This specific model has model number A1243.

The USB ports are also there. On the sides this time.

I wonder why the USB port has a small dent to it.
